Pattaya Tiger Park — One Metre Away from a Bengal Tiger

There is a moment that every visitor describes the same way.
The handler opens the enclosure gate, and you step inside. The tiger — three months old, the size of a large dog, with paws that are already absurdly big for its body — looks up at you. Not with aggression. With curiosity. The way a cat looks at something it has decided is interesting.
You are one metre from a live Bengal tiger.
Pattaya Tiger Park is one of the most debated attractions in Thailand and one of the most searched — 60,000 people a month type its name into Google, most of them asking the same questions before they book: How much does it cost? Can my children do it? Are the tigers drugged? Which package is actually worth it?
This guide answers every one of those questions with the current 2026 prices, the official age and height rules, and an honest account of what to expect inside.
Tiger Park Pattaya Ticket Prices 2026 — Every Single Option

Tiger Park has two types of entry. Walk Around lets you observe all the tigers from outside the enclosures — no interaction, no time limit, no height or age restrictions. Interaction packages put you inside the enclosure with the tiger for approximately 10 minutes, with a trained handler beside you throughout.
Booking through Trip Thai Tour is cheaper than the walk-in counter price — and we collect the tickets before you arrive, so there is no queue.

Age & Height Restrictions — Read This Before You Book

This is the section that prevents the most common frustration at Tiger Park — arriving with the wrong tickets and having to queue at the counter to change them. Both age and height determine which packages you qualify for. Read your group's situation carefully before booking.
| Package | Minimum Age | Minimum Height | Open To |
|---|---|---|---|
| Smallest (3–6 months) | All ages ✅ | No restriction ✅ | Everyone — children, short adults, all visitors |
| Newborn (1–2 months) | All ages ✅ | No restriction ✅ | Everyone (seasonal — check availability) |
| Forest Safari | All ages ✅ | No restriction ✅ | Everyone (child must be with adult) |
| Small (7–12 months) | 16+ years | 160 cm+ | Teenagers and adults who meet both requirements |
| Medium (1–2 years) | 18+ years | 160 cm+ | Adults who meet both requirements |
| Big (2–5 years) | 18+ years | 160 cm+ | Adults who meet both requirements |
| Giant (5+ years) | 18+ years | 160 cm+ | Adults who meet both requirements |
| Golden Tabby | 18+ years | 160 cm+ | Adults who meet both requirements |
Official park rule: Children under 13 years old and disabled persons are allowed to visit the Smallest tiger and Forest Safari only, and must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Real Situations — What to Book for Your Group
Situation 1: Family with children (the most common group)
Say your group is 2 adults and 1 child. The child must do the Smallest tiger — that is the only size available to them. But here is the part many families miss: the child cannot enter the enclosure alone. At least one parent must purchase the same Smallest ticket and go in with them.
This means if the parents book Medium tigers (฿670 each) and the child books Smallest (฿750) — the parents and child will be in different enclosures at different times. They cannot take a family photo together.
If you want a family photo with all three of you and the tiger, everyone needs to book the Smallest package. This gives the whole family one shared enclosure, one shared 10 minutes, and one photograph that includes everyone. The Smallest cub is genuinely the best experience for children anyway — and for a first visit, it is the right choice for the whole family.
✅ Best booking for families with children: All family members book Smallest tiger together → one enclosure, one family photo, no splitting up.
Situation 2: Adults under 160 cm in height
This is less obvious and catches many visitors completely off guard. The height restriction applies to all visitors regardless of age — if you are an adult over 18 but your height is under 160 cm, you are restricted to the Smallest tiger and Forest Safari only. The park will measure visitors at the counter and will not permit shorter guests into Medium, Big, Giant, or Golden Tabby enclosures.
We have had couples in their 40s — both under 160 cm — arrive expecting to do the Medium or Big tiger and have to exchange their tickets at the counter for Smallest.
Before booking any package above Smallest, honestly check your height. If either member of your group is under 160 cm, book Smallest for everyone. The experience is excellent — and it avoids a stressful situation at the counter with disappointed expectations.
✅ Best booking for groups where any member is under 160 cm: Everyone books Smallest tiger → no height rejection at the counter, everyone enters together.
Situation 3: Adults-only group — all over 18 and over 160 cm
You have full access to every package. The Play 4 (฿2,370 our price) — Smallest + Small + Medium + Big — is the best value for a first visit. You experience all four standard sizes in sequence, building from playful cubs to full-grown adults. The Play All (฿4,250 our price) adds the rare Golden Tabby and Giant for the complete collection.
Situation 4: Teenagers aged 16–17
Teenagers at 16–17 qualify for the Small tiger (7–12 months) only — provided their height is 160 cm or above. If they are under 160 cm, they are restricted to Smallest regardless of age. Medium, Big, Giant, and Golden Tabby require 18+ years.
Not sure which package to book for your group? Tell us your group composition — ages, heights, and number of people — when you contact us. We will confirm exactly which packages are right for everyone before you pay anything.

The Golden Tabby — One of the Rarest Tigers on Earth

Most visitors come to Tiger Park for a Bengal tiger encounter and leave having had one. Fewer know about the Golden Tabby — and for those who do, it is often the reason they choose Tiger Park over every other tiger venue in Thailand.
The Golden Tabby is not a different species. It is an extraordinarily rare natural colour mutation of the Bengal tiger — a warm golden-white coat with pale orange stripes, caused by a recessive gene that produces a tiger that looks like no other big cat on earth. There are estimated to be fewer than 30 Golden Tabby tigers in existence worldwide.
Tiger Park Pattaya has one.
The Golden Tabby interaction is priced at ฿950/person through us (฿1,010 walk-in) as a single ticket. It is also included in the Play 2 Set B package (฿1,520 our price) paired with the Giant tiger — the package that combines the rarest and the largest tigers in the park in a single visit.
The Golden Tabby and Giant package is our recommendation for adult visitors and couples who want a genuinely exclusive experience — you will almost certainly not see a Golden Tabby tiger anywhere else on your travels, or perhaps your lifetime.
Are the Tigers Drugged? The Honest Answer
The question appears in every forum, every WhatsApp group, every family conversation before a Pattaya trip. It deserves a direct answer.
The science first: Tigers in the wild sleep between 16 and 20 hours per day. They are nocturnal hunters that evolved to conserve energy during daylight hours — the same strategy used by lions, leopards, and every large cat that hunts at night. A Bengal tiger lying completely still in 35°C heat at noon in Pattaya is doing exactly what a Bengal tiger does in the Sundarbans at noon. This behaviour is not sedation. It is what tigers do when it is hot and they are not hunting.
This single fact explains the vast majority of "they looked drugged" reviews online. Visitors who have never spent time with big cats interpret the same behaviour that wildlife researchers have documented for a century as something suspicious.
What does the visit actually look like? The Smallest and Small cub packages (3 months to 12 months) show you tigers that are visibly active, curious, and responsive — they approach visitors, react to handlers, and behave in ways that are unmistakably not sedated. For medium and large tiger interactions, the animals rest more — but the same is true of every large cat that has recently eaten and is warm.
The honest welfare context: Tripadvisor does not sell tickets to Tiger Park under their global animal welfare booking policy, which applies to all tiger interaction venues worldwide — not specifically to this park. This is a blanket policy decision, not evidence about conditions here.
Our position: Visit in the morning (9:00–11:00 AM), choose the cub packages to see the most active animals, and make your own assessment when you are there. Tiger Park Pattaya is a commercial wildlife attraction — not a conservation centre. Visit with that context understood.
The Forest Safari — Tiger Park's Most Underrated Experience

Most first-time visitors focus entirely on the enclosure interaction packages and don't know the Forest Safari exists until they arrive. It is, for many families, the highlight of the day.
The Forest Safari is a 15-minute guided ride through the park's outdoor territory in an open-sided electric car. The vehicle moves through a landscaped area where tigers have significantly more space than the standard interaction enclosures — you will see tigers resting under trees, some cooling themselves in water features, and occasionally crossing the path ahead of the vehicle. You observe from the car throughout, which does not alarm or stress the animals.
Why this matters for families: For children who are nervous about entering an enclosure — or younger children who cannot join the interaction packages — the Forest Safari is the complete tiger experience from a position of comfort. For adults, it provides a context for the tigers' natural behaviour that the enclosure visit alone cannot.
Price: ฿480/person through us (฿510 walk-in). It can be added to any visit as a standalone or combined with interaction packages. The Play All package includes it free.
Tip: Do the Forest Safari first, before any enclosure interaction. It orients you to the park, shows you the full range of tiger sizes, and settles children who are nervous before they step into an enclosure.
What to Expect Inside Tiger Park — A Complete Walkthrough
Arrival: The park opens at 9:00 AM. If you book through Trip Thai Tour, your tickets are collected before you arrive — walk straight to the check-in point and skip the counter queue entirely.
The walk-around path: A landscaped route takes you past all the enclosures in sequence from the entry gate. You will see tigers at every size from cubs to giants, plus lions, leopards, and various smaller animals. The walk-around takes approximately 20–25 minutes at a comfortable pace.
Your interaction: When your slot is called, a handler escorts your group into the enclosure. Groups are small — the experience is not a conveyor belt. The handler positions you, shows you exactly where to place your hands, and stays close throughout. Personal phones and cameras are fully permitted. The park photographer is available in the enclosure if you want professionally shot images of the moment.
Time inside: Approximately 10 minutes per package. The 10-minute limit is enforced consistently — plan accordingly if you are booking multiple packages, as each tier is a separate enclosure visit with a brief wait between them.
After: Cafe Amazon is open throughout — iced coffee and shade before your next package is highly recommended if visiting midday.
Best Time to Visit Tiger Park Pattaya
Time of day: 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM is the optimal window. The air is cooler, the tigers are more active, and the light is better for photography. After 11:30 AM the heat becomes significant, the tigers rest more, and the harsh overhead sun creates difficult shadows in photographs.
Season: November through February is the best overall Pattaya season — lower humidity, comfortable temperatures, and the window when most Indian families visit. The keyword data shows Tiger Park searches peak at 74,000/month in December and January — which aligns perfectly with Indian school holidays and the best weather window.
Weekdays vs. weekends: The park is open daily and weekdays are noticeably quieter than weekends. If you have flexibility, a Tuesday or Wednesday morning visit gives you more space in the enclosures and shorter waits between packages.
Photography Tips at Tiger Park
What to wear: Light, breathable fabric in neutral or dark colours. Avoid bright neon tones and dangling accessories. Comfortable closed shoes. The enclosures can be warm, so loose-fitting clothing is practical.
Your phone vs. the park photographer: Your phone produces excellent results for the Smallest and Small cub packages — the enclosures are well-lit and the animals are close. For Big, Giant, and Golden Tabby packages where enclosures are larger and darker, the park photographer with professional equipment produces noticeably better results. The ฿299 phone transfer option (30–50 photos) is good value for groups of up to 5 people.
Best shots: At the Smallest cub level, sit on the floor — the handler will bring the cub to your level. Eye-to-eye with a curious 4-month-old Bengal against a clean background is the photograph this park is known for.
Morning advantage: 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM gives clean, directional light through the enclosure structures. After 11:30 AM, overhead sun creates harsh contrast. This is the most practical reason to visit early.
How to Get to Tiger Park Pattaya
Address: Sukhumvit Road (Route 3), Bang Lamung, Chon Buri — approximately 10 km south of Pattaya Beach Road.
By Trip Thai Tour private car — the easiest option:
We pick you up from your hotel lobby, collect the tickets before arrival, wait throughout your visit, and return you to your hotel. No negotiating with drivers, no queue at the ticket counter.
| Vehicle | Capacity | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Sedan | 1–4 passengers | ฿1,200 |
| Van | 1–10 passengers | ฿1,600 |
Adding a second attraction (Floating Market, Underwater World) to the same car journey is available at no extra transport charge when both visits are booked together.
By Grab: Approximately ฿150–250 from central Pattaya, 15–20 minutes. Book through the Grab app. Note: Grab cannot wait and return you — you'll need to book a separate return ride.
By songthaew (baht bus): Songthaews run along Sukhumvit Road toward Jomtien and can drop near Tiger Park. Cost ฿10–30. Journey is slower and involves some walking. Best for budget-conscious solo travelers.
Combine Tiger Park with Nearby Attractions
Tiger Park sits on Sukhumvit Road in a cluster of Pattaya's best family attractions. Most visitors combine it with at least one other destination in the same morning or afternoon — and our car service makes this effortless.
🛶 Pattaya Floating Market — 5-Minute Walk
The Pattaya Floating Market is a five-minute walk from Tiger Park on the same stretch of Sukhumvit Road — the easiest combination in Pattaya tourism, and one that almost no visitor realises until they are already there.
Finish your Tiger Park visit by 11:00–11:30 AM, walk to the Floating Market, take a canal boat through the market waterways, try Thai street food from the wooden stall vendors, and browse the handicrafts. Both attractions completed before 1:00 PM. No extra transport required.
Recommended order: Tiger Park first (9:00–11:00 AM) → Floating Market (11:00 AM–1:00 PM) → lunch at the market's restaurant before returning to your hotel.
🐠 Underwater World Pattaya — 5 Minutes by Car
Underwater World Pattaya is a marine aquarium approximately 5 minutes' drive from Tiger Park on the same Sukhumvit Road corridor. If your children want a full animal day — tigers in the morning, sharks and rays in the afternoon — this is the simplest combination on offer.
Ideal for: Families with children aged 4–12 who want two different animal experiences in one day.
🌿 Nong Nooch Tropical Garden — 20 Minutes South
Nong Nooch Tropical Garden is one of Southeast Asia's most spectacular botanical gardens — 2.4 square kilometres of manicured gardens, a cultural performance show with traditional Thai dance and elephant presentations, and a cactus garden that alone justifies the visit.
It is located approximately 20 km south of Tiger Park, about 20 minutes by our car service.
Ideal for: Full-day family visits. Tiger Park in the morning (9:00–11:00 AM) + Nong Nooch in the afternoon (1:00–4:00 PM) + return to hotel by evening — a complete Pattaya family day.
⛩️ Sanctuary of Truth — 20 Minutes North
The Sanctuary of Truth is one of the most extraordinary buildings in Thailand — an all-wooden temple on the sea, 105 metres tall, every surface carved by hand, still under construction since 1981 and expected to take another generation to complete.
It is located approximately 20 km north of Tiger Park near Naklua, about 20 minutes by our car service.
Ideal for: Couples, photographers, and travelers who want culture alongside wildlife. The combination of Tiger Park and Sanctuary of Truth — wildlife in the morning, architecture in the afternoon — covers two of the most distinctive experiences Pattaya offers in a single day.

Frequently Asked Questions
Walk-in ticket prices range from ฿710 (Small / Medium single) to ฿4,520 (Play All package with all 6 tiger sizes). Booking through Trip Thai Tour is cheaper than walk-in — our prices start from ฿750/person for the Smallest cub interaction (all ages). A basic Walk Around entry (observe tigers from outside enclosures) is ฿300. Forest Safari electric car is ฿480. See the full price table in this guide.
Tiger Park Pattaya is open daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with last entry at approximately 5:30 PM. The park opens every day of the week — including Monday (unlike some Pattaya attractions). Best time to visit is 9:00–11:00 AM when the air is cooler and the tigers are more active.
Yes — the Smallest tiger package (3–6 month old cubs) is open to ALL ages with no height restriction. Children under 13 must be accompanied by a paying adult inside the enclosure. Important for families wanting a group photo: if parents book Medium or Big tiger and the child books Smallest, you will be in different enclosures at different times — no shared photo. For a family photo together, everyone in the group should book the Smallest package. Additionally, the height restriction applies to adults too — adults over 18 but under 160 cm are restricted to Smallest tiger only, regardless of age.
This is the most common question before visiting — and the honest answer is: tigers naturally sleep 16–20 hours per day in the wild. They are nocturnal hunters who conserve energy during daylight hours. A tiger resting in 35°C Pattaya heat at midday is behaving exactly as it would in the wild. Cubs (3–12 months) are visibly active, playful, and curious during morning visits. For the most energetic experience, visit between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Tripadvisor's decision not to sell tickets to tiger interaction venues globally is a blanket policy — not evidence specific to this park.
The Golden Tabby is an exceptionally rare natural colour variation of the Bengal tiger — golden-white coat with pale orange stripes. There are fewer than 30 Golden Tabby tigers known to exist worldwide. Tiger Park Pattaya is one of very few places on earth where you can interact with one. The Golden Tabby single ticket is ฿1,010 walk-in (฿950 through Trip Thai Tour). It is also included in the Play 2 Set B package (฿1,520 our price) paired with the Giant tiger.
The Forest Safari is a 15-minute guided electric car ride through Tiger Park's outdoor territory — a covered vehicle that drives through landscaped areas where tigers have significantly more space than standard enclosures. It is open to all ages and is an excellent option for families with young children who may be nervous about entering an enclosure. Price is ฿480 through Trip Thai Tour (฿510 walk-in). It can be added to any visit and is included free with the Play All package.
A walk-around only (no interaction) takes 20–30 minutes. One or two interaction packages plus the walk-around takes 1–1.5 hours. A full Play 4 visit (4 tiger sizes) takes approximately 2 hours. The Play All package with all 6 sizes and the Forest Safari takes 2.5–3 hours. Most families with children find 1.5–2 hours is ideal — two packages plus the walk-around and a rest at Cafe Amazon.
Wear comfortable, closed shoes — sandals are acceptable but closed shoes are recommended inside enclosures. Avoid bright neon colours, loose scarves, or dangling accessories that may attract a tiger's attention. Light breathable clothing is ideal — it can be warm inside the enclosures. Bring your phone for photos. The park's own photographer service (฿299 for 30–50 photos transferred to phone) is good value if you want professional-quality shots without holding your own phone.
Yes — and it is one of the best combinations in Pattaya. The Pattaya Floating Market is a 5-minute walk from Tiger Park on Sukhumvit Road. Complete your tiger visit by 11:00–11:30 AM, walk to the market, take a canal boat ride, try Thai street food, and browse the stalls. Both attractions covered before 1:00 PM. Our car service includes a stop at the Floating Market for no additional transport charge if booked together.
Tiger Park is on Sukhumvit Road, approximately 10 km south of central Pattaya Beach Road — about 15–20 minutes by car. The easiest option is our private car service: we pick up from your hotel, collect your tickets, wait while you visit, and drive you back. Sedan (up to 4 passengers) is ฿1,200. Van (up to 10 passengers) is ฿1,600. You can also use Grab — expect ฿150–250 from central Pattaya. Songthaews (baht buses) run along Sukhumvit Road but require some walking.
For families with children: the Smallest cub package (฿750 our price) is the perfect entry — open to all ages, the 3–6 month old cubs are playful and the right size for children. Upgrade to Play 2 Set A (฿1,190 our price) to add the Big or Medium tiger for adults. For couples or adults only: Play 4 (฿2,370 our price) gives you all 4 standard sizes and is the best value per interaction. For the ultimate experience: Play All (฿4,250 our price) includes the rare Golden Tabby, Giant, and a free cage photo USB.
