A car at disposal means you hire the whole vehicle and its driver for a fixed block of time — here, 8 hours — rather than paying per journey or per person. The vehicle stays with you for the entire period: it takes you to a place, waits while you are there, and takes you to the next one, as many times as you like. It is the difference between buying a taxi ride and buying a driver's day.

The term comes from the Indian travel trade and appears in most Thailand holiday packages sold from India. The catch is that packaged versions almost always restrict it — a kilometre cap (often 80 km), a fixed itinerary, and re-routing charges if you deviate. Our version has none of those limits inside the city: ฿2,500 for an SUV or ฿3,000 for a van, 8 hours, unlimited stops, fuel and expressway tolls included.

No, and this is deliberate. You choose your vehicle, date, hours and passengers on this page, tell us roughly what you would like to do, and send it to us on WhatsApp. We then check the plan against the vehicle size, the hours and the route, confirm a driver is free on your date, and reply — usually within minutes during Thai business hours. Payment is arranged only once your day is confirmed.

We do it this way because a car at disposal is the one product we sell where your plan decides whether we can actually deliver the day. A route might leave the Bangkok and Samut Prakan zone, twelve stops might not fit into eight hours, a group might not fit the vehicle, or a licensed guide might be unavailable on that date. Taking your money first and discovering any of that afterwards means refunds and a ruined day. Checking first takes us a few minutes and means every confirmed booking is one we know we can run.

฿2,500 for an SUV carrying up to 4 passengers, or ฿3,000 for a van carrying up to 10 passengers, for 8 hours. That is a flat price for the whole vehicle, not a per-person fare — six people in the van pay ฿500 each for the entire day, and ten people pay ฿300 each. The price includes your driver, all fuel, and every expressway toll we use during the day.

Not included are attraction entry fees, venue parking (usually ฿20–100), food, and the optional licensed English-speaking guide at ฿2,500 per day. Hours beyond the eighth are ฿400 for the van or ฿300 for the SUV, agreed on the day. For comparison, aggregator listings for the same service in Bangkok typically run ฿2,700–3,500 and often exclude tolls.

No to both, and this is the main reason people book us rather than a packaged 'car at disposal'. Inside Bangkok and Samut Prakan you can visit as many places as you like, in any order, and change your mind as often as you like. There is no kilometre counter, no fixed list of permitted stops, and no re-routing fee.

We can price it this way honestly because a vehicle waiting in a car park costs us almost the same as a vehicle driving. The only things that genuinely change our cost are time and leaving the city, so those are the only two things we charge for: extra hours beyond eight, and a separate quote if you want to travel outside the zone.

The SUV costs ฿2,500 and seats up to 4 passengers; the van costs ฿3,000 and seats up to 10. Since the gap is only ฿500 for the whole day, the van is usually the better value for any group of four or more, and it is the clear choice if you have grandparents, small children, or a shopping day ahead — the space behind the back row swallows a Chatuchak haul.

Take the SUV if you are a couple, a solo traveller, or three or four adults travelling light. It handles the narrow lanes of the old town and Chinatown more easily and parks in places a van cannot. For a day of business meetings it is the more discreet option. If your group is larger than 10, message us and we will quote two vehicles.

The clock starts the moment your driver collects you at your hotel door and ends when he drops you back. It does not start when he left the depot — a common trick that quietly eats thirty to sixty minutes of the day you paid for. A 09:00 pickup means a 17:00 drop-off.

If you want longer, extra hours are ฿400 for the van and ฿300 for the SUV, charged in whole hours, agreed with your driver on the day and settled directly with him. There is no advance commitment, no minimum extension, no evening premium and no penalty rate. If you finish early there is no refund for unused hours, but there is also no pressure to use them.

This product covers Bangkok city and Samut Prakan province, which means the Erawan Museum and the Ancient City are included in your zone at no extra cost. It does not cover airport transfers or intercity journeys, and that is a deliberate limit rather than an upsell: Ayutthaya, Kanchanaburi, Damnoen Saduak and Pattaya all need ten to twelve hours to do properly, so squeezing them into eight would give you a bad day.

Yes. Your driver comes to your hotel lobby or driveway and returns you there at the end of the day, anywhere in Bangkok or Samut Prakan, with no outer-zone surcharge. There is no meeting point, no street corner and no walking to a designated pickup zone with children, shopping or luggage in the afternoon heat.

The night before your booking you receive a WhatsApp message with your driver's name, his mobile number and the vehicle's plate number, so you know exactly who and what you are looking for. If your hotel has a complicated entrance, tell us at booking and the driver will call you when he arrives.

Your driver speaks working English — enough for directions, timings, restaurant recommendations and friendly conversation — and carries a phone with WhatsApp translation for anything more complex. He knows Bangkok properly, including which expressway exit is moving at four o'clock and where a van can actually park near Wat Pho.

He is not a tour guide and will not narrate the temples, because Thai law does not allow it. Under the Tourism Business and Guide Act B.E. 2551, guiding tourists without a licence carries penalties of up to ฿500,000 or two years' imprisonment, and the profession is reserved for Thai nationals. If you want commentary, add a licensed English-speaking guide for ฿2,500 for the whole day — request it at booking, ideally 48 hours ahead.

Fuel and expressway tolls are both included. Tolls matter more in Bangkok than most visitors expect: the inner-city Chalerm Maha Nakhon expressway charges a flat ฿50 per toll plaza for a four-wheel vehicle, and a day crossing the city two or three times passes through several, so operators who exclude tolls typically hand back ฿100–200 of receipts at drop-off. We build them into the price.

Venue and mall parking is not included and is paid as incurred, usually ฿20–100 for a few hours. In practice this rarely comes up, because most Bangkok shopping malls give free parking for the first few hours with any purchase. Your driver will always tell you the amount before paying.

Yes, and it costs nothing extra. Tell us at booking or tell your driver on the day, and he will take you to genuinely good halal-friendly, vegetarian, Jain-friendly, Indian or Western food rather than to a restaurant that pays him commission. Bangkok is well served for all of these, particularly around Sukhumvit Soi 3–5 for halal and Pahurat for Indian.

Lunch is not included in the price — budget roughly ฿150–500 per person depending on where you eat. Your driver will also pause for prayer times whenever you ask, and will wait as long as you need at any stop. There is no time pressure inside your eight hours.

The van seats up to 10 passengers and the SUV up to 4, and those are real seat limits rather than optimistic ones. For a normal city day with day bags, ten people fit comfortably in the van with space behind the back row for shopping.

If you are travelling with full suitcases rather than day bags — moving hotels, for example — count your group as one or two people larger than it is and tell us at booking, because ten adults with ten suitcases will not fit comfortably. We would much rather send the right vehicle, or quote two, than have you standing in a driveway with a luggage problem.

Please book at least 24 hours in advance so we can assign a driver and confirm your pickup time. Weekends, Thai public holidays and the December–February high season fill up faster, so 48–72 hours is safer then. If you want the licensed guide add-on, 48 hours' notice is strongly recommended as guides are subject to availability.

If your airline cancels your flight or you have a documented medical emergency, we offer one free date change to any date within six months instead of applying the sliding scale. If we cancel for any reason — a vehicle problem, flooding, or an event closing the city — you choose between a full refund and a free new date.

Each city has its own page with local suggestions, its own coverage zone and its own realistic eight-hour itineraries.

The coverage zone is always the city and its immediate area rather than intercity travel, so a Pattaya booking covers Pattaya, Jomtien and Naklua, a Phuket booking covers the whole island, and so on.
